In the bid to ameliorate the difficulties Nigerians go through in the transport system, the Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has commissioned Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses. The buses manufactured by Innoson Motors, an indigenous automobile manufacturing company situate at Nnewi Anambra State operates with gas.
The CNG initiative, according to the government, is aimed at alleviating transportation challenges in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. Available information revealed that five of these CNG buses are stationed at the forecourt of the Presidential Villa, where the inauguration is proposed to take place. It is anticipated that President Tinubu, who is presently leading a meeting of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), will shortly emerge to officiate the commissioning of the CNG buses. Lead gathered that Innocent Chukwuma, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Innoson Motors, had a meeting with President Tinubu last week at the State House.
