As Community Insists On Autopsy Of Late HBC Ogboko, Appeals To DIG To Hearken To Kinsmen Demand
Hell may be let loose today at ABATU OGUTA AMESHI, IMO STATE home of Late CHIEF DR H B C OGBOKO (OGBUAGU, OSHIJI, Damanze of Oguta following alleged attempts by the office of Deputy General Of Police (DIG) Alabi Abiodun In charge of CID Force Headquarters to Stop a Proposed autopsy of late Patriarch and release his body for burial.
The Late CHIEF DR H B C OGBOKO, who died at the age of 84years, has raised suspicions of a foul play, leading to a Petitionby Some of his family members, to the DIG, calling for investigation into his death.
With the nvestigation Successfully ongoing, a need for AUTOPSY arose, which the DIG was said to have agreed to be carried out.
While the bereaved community was waiting for the autopsy as agreed, a source from the community alleged that the police appeared not to go on with the said autopsy as earlier agreed while the burial has been fixed for today.
This decision, which has not gone down well with other Members of the family as well as some members of the community however has led to the current tensions in the area as the petitioners have insisted on the DIG to use his Office to do the needful as well as to nip in the bud the envisaged calamity if the burial is done without the agreed autopsy carried out.
All efforts made to reach the office of the PPRO to get the police angle proved abortive as the phone number was not reachable at the time of filing this report .
