Uju Charity And Empowerment Initiative Offers Scholarship to Students in Owerri Zone

As part of her mission to encourage learning, more especially the girl child, the founder of Uju Charity and Empowerment Initiative (UCEI) Hon. Amb. Uju Chika has offered scholarship to students in Owerri Zone

The founder in a visit tour with her team in the zone recently reiterated that the scholarship programme remains paramount in touching the lives of the indigent students.

According to her, the introduction of the programme was part of their objective to give back to society, adding that children of the poor can now go to school without hindrance through UCEI scholarship programme.

She said the Uju Charity and Empowerment Initiative will continue to make sacrifice so as to fund the school fees, WAEC, and upkeep of the selected beneficiaries revealed her team just concluded scholarship tour from Orlu Zone.

Uju, harped on the need for school principals and teachers to help monitor the activities of the students, said that the children were the future of every generation, adding through proper learning relationship their desire dreams can be achieved.

Meanwhile, the schools that benefited so far from the scholarship programme including, Uwem Treasure Chiamaka, from Total Care Academy Egbu, Nwankwo Munachimso Maryjane, from Christ Foundation Secondary School World Bank , Okparaocha Destiny Chimeremeze of Mercyseat International Christian Secondary School Irete among others.

Earlier, Dr. Pat Okoro, Principal Christ Foundation Secondary School, Mrs Ogwo Nkeiruka Uzoamaka, Head Teacher Total Care Academy, Mrs.Ikenna Esther, Head Teacher Mercyseat International Christian Primary/Secondary School,in their separate speeches, commended the efforts of the foundation for touching lives of the students and pupils.

They expressed happiness for interfacing with Uju Charity and Empowerment Initiative team, noting having heared about her empowerment to the needy, widows, and the good works in the society, promised to do their best to the beneficiaries even as they prayed God for more strength.
