Umuebie Isiala -Mbano 2024 Unity Cup Kicks Off

Football matches in the 2024 Umuebie unity cup for Communities in Ugiri Mbano has Commenced with Duruaro and Dimemeka locking horns last Sunday 15th. December 2024 .

The central school Umuebie Ugiri Mbano was the match venue where lots of Youths , community leaders and football enthusiasts gathered in solidarity for their quests to entrench cultures and social get-together as weapons of unity and advancement of their communities.

The gathering which surprised visitors and passers- by, proved a veritable tool that fits our present T-Pains for socialisation to ventilate happy moments and opportunities for youths to enthuse God’s given talents through the round Leather games .

Some elderly people and women were in attendance at least in solidarity with the donor and sponsor of the tournaments, High Chief Dr. Collins Osuagwu who took the kick off .
His royal highness Eze Sir Leomike Enwerem Ksji,of Umuebie autonomous community with President general, Comrade Chijoke Ebirinwa , the secretary general of Umuebie autonomous community, Barrister Hugh Onwuka amongst other diginitries graced the opening ceremony.

Chief Dr. Osuagwu who was said to have flew in from Europe in brief chat with Journalists expressed delight that sports still have that aura that delights both old and young .
The community philanthropist said his passion for round Leather games way back in his heir Days at school still stands . Sports has always brought many people together where differences are sorted out. It’s a bonding thing as Peace remains that Panacea for advancements . Am glad communities , leaders have shown much interests , let’s keep it up. He stated .

Barrister Onwuka could not hide his Joy as he hugged the sponsor and paid allegiance to the Royal father, Eze Sir Leomike Enwerem.
The opening match ended in favour of Umuduruaro against Umuduememeka with one goal at full time.
The second day saw Opara na-Dim scored two goals against a lone goal with Oparaemeka FC while Dec. 18th game was between Umuele and Duruaro villages .

The tournament which many people have continuously applauded no doubt is bringing the spirit of oneness and love amongst Umuebie Ugiri Mbano Communities especially as the Sponsor, Dr. Chief Collins Osuagwu , Nmanwu n’eti onweya, has donated a big cow for the people . The Donor who is based in Europe spritends over chains of meaningful companies under Zeus Marine , Oil and gas while acknowledging Pleasantries from the Crowd made the disclosure to the admiration of the traditional ruler and other Community leaders present.
