Global National President of University of Nigeria Nsukka Alumni,( UNNAA) lady Doris Okoro has called on the members of the Organization and the general public to disregard any NEC Meeting by any person or group holding this month in Owerri.
This is even as she described the planners as bunch of Frausters whose stuck in trade remains to dupe unsuspecting innocent people, particularly the global members of the UNN Alumni.
The National President who also hails from Imo revealed that the said group had at various times tried this fraud but was stopped by the University Community pointing out that this one which according to her was dead on arrival would not see the light of the day.
Okoro,a lecturer who disclosed this in Owerri over the weekend revealed that she was elected the national President of the group last April hence she remains the only recognized President of the Association since the Tenure subsists.
Let me use this opportunity to tell our members as well as the general public to ignore any purported NEC Meeting of the UNN Alumni in Imo this month, the people planning that are not members of the current executive rather impostors,she said.
It is worrisome and an act of playing to gallery for a person who did not take part in election to come from the blues to plan NEC Meeting, any person coming for such unauthorized meeting is doing that at his or her peril,she added.
“Lady Dr Doris Okoroh, ALOHA was reelected for second term as the Global/National President of UNAA at the 28th biennial Convention of the Association on 20th of April 2024 at Portharcourt Rivers State. pointing out
that her leadership of the Association is the only Alumni body recognized by the University and the school’s governing council” she concluded.
