Vice chancellor: FG wages war in ALVAN appoints Onyeka VC

The ongoing rage over who becomes the Vice Chancellor of Alvan Ikoku Federal University College of Education Owerri appears to have come to an end as Federal Government has appointed Prof Aloysius Onyeka as the Acting Vice Chancellor of the University.
There has been war of words in the institution over who becomes the Vice Chancellor of the Institution, a situation that warranted the Governing Council of the University to elect Dr, Mrs Lemchi as the Chancellor few weeks ago.
However, the said election of Lemchi opened hell of petitions .
While some said she was not qualified to mount the saddle as a young professor, others were of the view that her professorship is questionable.
In a bid to restore peace and sanity in the system, Federal Government appointed another Imo Son and Orlu LGA born Professor as the Acting VC of the University.
