As political observers in Imo state are waitng for the Ist September, 2023 commencement date for the Concept Master’s state-wide governorship opinion survey, Imo people are anxious to know who the survey will tip as the candidate likely to emerge the next governor of Imo state.
Speaking on the survey recently is in Owerri, a political scientist and public opinion analyst, Dr Eweliwe Ahaiwe said the exercise is akin to a mock election, pointing out that whosoever that emerges the winner of the survey stands the best chance of clinching the Imo governorshop seat.
He stated that the result of the survey will tip-off the candidate who will eventually win the election, drawing attention to the Abia governorship election conducted earlier in the year which the firm had in its opinion survey of November, 2022 tipped Dr Alex Otti of LP as the candidate likely to win the Abia governorship election.
He counselled Concept Masters against puncturing its reputation by churning out a haphazard work, adding that Imo people are keen to know what the views of 88,000 registered voters will be regarding the candidates they will vote on 11th November, 2023.
He advised the management of Concept Masters to endeavour to pass the public scrutiny which the exercise is likely to impose on it by discharging the assignment without fear or favour.
Since the last two months, some Owerri-based newspapers have been inundated with adverts promoting the opinion survey which is scheduled from 1st ——30th September,2023.
It will be recalled that within the period, Concept Masters has been consistent with advertorials on its plans to conduct a random survey on 88,000 registered voters with a view to finding out the governorship candidate who will be favoured by the majority of the voters to win the election.
