South East APC National Vice Chairman, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, has noted that Governor Hope Uzodimma played a vital role to the passing and assenting of Local Government Autonomy Bill into law in Nigeria.
He disclosed this while addressing members of APC during a rally held
at Admiral Ndubuisi Kalu Square Owerri recently.
The APC National Officer who said that he firmly believes in fair and internal democracy, stressed that the Local Government Autonomy is very germane as the measure will strengthen goodness, development and progress in the rural areas.
Arodiogbu who cheerfully expressed delight over the significant impact made by Governor Hope Uzodimma which he added is breeding peace, orderliness, economic prosperity and social development in the country, South East and Imo State in particular, reiterated that the Governor contributed significantly to the passing and assenting of the LG Autonomy Bill.
“It Is very significant as the nation has just passed the Bill for LG Autonomy and the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, was very instrumental to the success of that Bill, knowing very much that the Local Government is very important to actual development at the grassroot levels”, Arodiogbu emphasized.
Arodiogbu, an illustrious son of Arondizuogu in Ideato North Council, did not mince his words as he equally congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for assenting the LG Autonomy Bill, just as he saluted Members of the National Assembly for plausibly passing the Bill into law, saying the feat largely, clearly demonstrates that the ruling party believes in internal democracy, humanity and goodness.
He congratulated the newly elected Council Chairmen and the Councillors who he charged to lead godly and in accordance to democratic ethos to be able to assuage challenges and meet people’s expectations and needs for improved infrastructure, peace, prosperity and progress.
“We congratulate you all, our elected Council Chairmen, Vice Chairmen and Councillors, for winning the LG Elections. We charge you to work very hard and cordially to enable you develop your Wards and LGAs. We urge you not to disappoint the APC, Imo people and yourselves”, the pragmatic politician advised.
