National Secretary of PDP, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has opened up on Imo insecurity and South East in general.
This is even as he attributed it to inability of the people particularly the leaders to forgive one another.
In a release signed by his media Aide, Ikenna Onuoha and made available to Lead, Anyanwu however appealed with Imo people and stakeholders to use the festive period to forgive one another.
Anyanwu notes that reason why insecurity remains on the increase in both Imo state and the South East at large is due to the absence of love, unity and peace amongst stakeholders in the society.
According to him, once members of different political parties begin to see themselves as people created by one God, the issue of acrimony, rancour and backbiting will be a thing of the past.
He describes as unfortunate, regrettable and unwholesome the behavior of some supposed leaders who should be in the business of making peace end up creating crisis in the society, and admonished them to turn a new leaf.
The PDP National Scribe therefore wondered how some politicians angling to take up positions of authority to lead the people turn around to heat up the polity, pointing out that such act posses grave danger to both democracy and the people.
The political icon also assures the citizens of a better 2023, expressing optimism that the people will experience economic boost, adequate security guarantee, free and fair elections that will enthrone sustainability in all ramifications.
Anyanwu urges them to use the festive season to reconcile with their neighbors, appealing to them to always pray for the development of the society rather than working to divide their environment.
He therefore wishes Christians all over the world a merry Christmas and prosperous new year in advance.
