A renowned academic and founder of The Mazi Organization (TMO), Dr. Chima Matthew Amadi, has declared that his ambition to govern Imo State in 2027 is driven by a mission to make the state better and build on the achievements of past administrations.

Amadi made the declaration on Tuesday, February 17, in Owerri during the inauguration of the TMO Board of Trustees, State Central Working Committee, and 30-man LGA Executives.

The Umuekwune, Ngor-Okpala-born business magnate acknowledged the efforts of previous governments, including the current administration led by Hope Uzodimma. However, he emphasized that his administration—if elected—would pursue transformative policies aimed at moving Imo State to greater heights.

Amadi unveiled a three-point development blueprint tagged SEE:
Security – advocating a non-kinetic approach to address insecurity,
economy – reviving moribund state-owned industries and creating opportunities for businesses and enterprises to thrive and education – reinvigorating government-owned schools to ensure accessible and quality education.

“My vision is for a new and prosperous Imo State,” Amadi stated, stressing that human capital development and enterprise growth would be central to his administration.

He described TMO as a special purpose vehicle of progressive-minded individuals united in the quest for visionary and competent leadership. He urged members to take the organization’s message of hope to the grassroots.

Amadi also reaffirmed that the Action Peoples Party (APP) remains his political platform, noting that its ideology aligns with his vision. He encouraged all TMO members to register with the party to ensure unity of purpose ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

Earlier, the Director General of TMO’s Central Working Committee, Hon. Henry Onwukwe, described the inauguration as a “defining moment,” underscoring the organization’s seriousness about contesting political leadership in Imo State. He charged members to uphold discipline, integrity, unity, and consistency in pursuit of their shared goals.

Several prominent figures were announced as members of various TMO structures, including:
Chief Chika Okafor, Chief Denis Okwu, High Chief Athan Ogwo, Barrister Uche Nwosu, Hon. Ndidi Onyemaechi, Engr. Paul Ejiogu, Hon. Blyden Amajirionwu, Hon. Lawman Duruji and Hon. Michael Crown.

With structures now inaugurated across the state and local government areas, TMO appears to be positioning itself strategically ahead of the 2027 governorship race in Imo State.
