All Roads will lead to Owerri, the Capital City of Imo tomorrow Thursday October 2025 as The Kpakpando Foundation for Persons with Disabilities marks two decades of transformative impact in disability inclusion and empowerment across Nigeria.
The landmark 20th anniversary celebration will hold on Thursday, October at the Orient TV/Radio premises, Akanchawa Udenwa Road, Owerri, Imo State will begin at 10:00 a.m.
The grand event, themed “Twenty Years of Hope and Impact: Redefining Disability Inclusion in Nigeria,” will bring together prominent dignitaries, disability advocates, policymakers, development partners, and well-wishers from across the nation to celebrate the foundation’s journey of changing lives and redefining possibilities for persons with disabilities.

Information from the Media Committee revealed that the celebration will be led by Distinguished Senator Osita Izunaso, OFR, the visionary founder and convener of the Kpakpando Foundation. Since its establishment in 2005, the foundation has remained at the forefront of promoting social inclusion, empowerment, and advocacy for persons with disabilities, offering educational scholarships, vocational training, assistive devices, and small business grants to thousands of beneficiaries nationwide.
According to the organisers, the event will feature special presentations showcasing the foundation’s success stories, from its humble beginnings to becoming a national model for disability empowerment.
There will also be panel discussions and keynote addresses by experts and policymakers who will explore innovative approaches, policy frameworks, and community-based strategies aimed at advancing disability inclusion in Nigeria.

“The 20th anniversary is not just a celebration of past achievements, but a call to action for all stakeholders to strengthen commitment towards building a society where no one is left behind,” the foundation stated.
The occasion will also serve as a platform to unveil new projects and invite individuals, corporate bodies, and development agencies to partner with the foundation in its ongoing advocacy and empowerment programmes.
As the Kpakpando Foundation celebrates this remarkable milestone, it continues to reaffirm its vision of a Nigeria where persons with disabilities are not only recognised but actively included in nation-building.
