The Imo State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Chief Mrs. Ruby Emele, has described Governor Hope Uzodimma as a “Master of Human Capital Development,” adding that the governor has exemplified good governance through his holistic developmental accomplishments in the state.
Emele, made the remarks in her office on Wednesday, October 29, while receiving some staff of the ministry who came to show their appreciation to Governor Uzodimma for sponsoring them to undertake the recent upskilling of workers in the state on digital solutions, while briefing her on the outcome of the exercise which they described as fruitful.
The commissioner, who thanked the workers for their show of gratitude, observed that Governor Uzodimma has demostrated leadership and fatherly love for the workers and the entire Imo people through his numerous achievements. She promised to take their massage to the governor.
“His Excellency is a true father and an administrator who has approached governance holistically and beneficially, developing the land and the people. I thank God for using our dear governor to provide this wonderful opportunity for all of you to acquire this important digital knowledge necessary for personal and official accomplishments in line with the modern global trends,” Emele asserted.
She commended the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Isabella Amafili for her good role in the ministry, while congratulating the workers for making the ministry proud through their commitments and performances during the training. She urged them to ensure maximum output and value addition towards their official responsibilities in line with the governor’s objectives, promising sustained welfare packages from the government.
Speaking earlier, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Mrs. Isabella Amafili, who led the team, lauded the digital and human capacity building initiatives of Governor Uzodimma, and hailed the training for having impacted and exposed the participants with digital solutions needed in accomplishing tasks effectively in both government and private establishments.
Amafili, appealed to the commissioner to communicate their gratitude to Governor Uzodimma, noting that the training would ensure enhanced productivity, service delivery and the confidentiality of sensitive official documents in the state. She also thanked Hon. Emele for her impactful leadership in the ministry, promising the best from the staff in moving the state forward.
On her own, the Director, Planning, Research and Statistics, Mrs. Comfort Nnaji, disclosed that their gratitude to the governor reflected the positive impact of the training among them. She commended Governor Uzodimma for his achievements in all sectors, adding that the governor’s welfare packages for Imo workers were unprecedented, as she promised support from the workers.
Similarly, another beneficiary and the Head, Inspectorate Department, Mr. Martins Igbo, who recalled the activities during the training, disclosed that participants were trained on computer appreciation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) among other digital skills. He thanked the governor for his magnanimity, while appreciating the commissioner for her support.
The event witnessed the beneficiaries displaying their laptops received from the digital training, while chanting solidarity songs for Governor Hope Uzodimma whom they called a “Digital and Infrastructure Governor.”
