Nnabundo Receives Rotary Club of Owerri Cosmopolitan Community Service Award

   The CEO, V-tals Integrated Business Limited, Chief Uchenna Nnabundo (Ugwumba 1 of Uli) has been conferred with Community Service Award from Rotary Club of Owerri Cosmopolitan in recognition of his relentless efforts towards development of society and humanity.
   Chief Nnabundo received the award on the occasion of the installation ceremony of Rtn Engr Chukwuemeka Augustus Egemasi PHF( Haridoth) Igirigi 005, the joy giver, as the 5th president of Rotary Club of Owerri Cosmopolitan, induction of new members, inauguration of Board of Directors, launching for the service year projects and awards to deserving personalities which took place last Saturday, 2nd August, 2025 at Embassy Hotels and Suites, Owerri.
   In an interview with newsmen shortly after receiving the award,  Chief Nnabundo who was the Chairman of the occasion maintained that the club was motivated to honour him because he has been rendering humanitarian services humanity and has assisted many communities in executing their project, adding that he has also helped  in the areas of giving empowerment, financial assistance, food items to the less privileged especially the indigent women and widows in society, pointing out that he has also been deeply involved in human capital development through the employment of reasonable number of youths in his company, thereby engaging them to be responsible in life as well as reducing the high rate of unemployment in the country.
   He also revealed that he  sponsored some people oriented projects in the club and thanked the president and members for finding him worthy of the award expressing delight on the honour done him.
   According to Chief Nnabundo, “To whom much is given, much is expected. I assure Rotary Club of Owerri Cosmopolitan that the award is going to spur me for more and harder work and services to God and humanity to make society a better place to live in”.
  The V-tals boss identified rotary as a service oriented international organization where members place humanitarian service above self and sacrifice their time, talent and resources in the service of mankind and societal development, and encouraged rotarians to live up to their calling by always donating for charity and assisting the less privileged to improve their well being and standard of living.
   He disclosed that Rotary International, in partnership with WHO has succeeded in eradicating poliomyelitis by donating the vaccines and appealed to the members of the club not to relent in rendering selfless services to make society better.
   Earlier in his inaugural address on the occasion, Rtn Engr Egemasi noted “Today, we are taking a very important step in our journey of service and leadership. This rotary year will be the most amazing, fruitful and impacting year in our rotary history. Therefore, let’s turn this year into the most satisfying period of our life. In this rotary year, I urge you to dream big, guided by our shared vision for rotary. Let us together achieve our goals, inspire and motivate rotarians to reach goals to expand the reach of our organization by increasing membership”.
   He disclosed that in increasing their reach and creating positive impacts, they shall be embarking on the following  service projects in addition to the one already accomplished this rotary year, provision of water borehole to  3 communities in Imo State that have the real need of water, (9, million naira) microcredit scheme to support indigent women, (5 million naira) health awareness (disease prevention and treatment)  (8 million naira) basic education and literacy (ICT training in two secondary schools in Owerri and donation of learning materials, (2 million naira) eradication of polio by carrying out sensitization, vaccines and rally, 1.5 million naira.
