In a profound demonstration of faith, love, and commitment to the growth of Christendom, the Honourable Member representing Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Engr. Akarachi Etinosa Amadi, on Sunday, October 12, 2025, made a landmark donation of ₦20 million to the Anglican Diocese of Ikeduru.
The generous announcement was made during the 6th Synod of the Diocese, held at St. Simon’s Anglican Church, Ugirike. Hon. Amadi, who attended the event alongside the Director of the Constituency Office, Hon. Sir Chinedu Ugochukwu Obidinma, and other members of his team, was received with warmth and admiration by both clergy and congregation.
According to the lawmaker, ₦10 million of the donation is earmarked for the College of Education project currently championed by the Diocese, while the remaining ₦10 million is designated for other developmental needs within the Church, all geared towards building the Diocese for Christ.
The announcement drew standing ovations and emotional appreciation from attendees, further cementing Hon. Amadi’s reputation as a selfless leader and passionate advocate for faith-based and community-driven progress.
In his heartfelt address, Hon. Akarachi Amadi reflected on his personal faith journey, stating:
“I am a Catholic by birth, but I grew up in an Anglican parish as a child. So, the Anglican family remains part of my story and upbringing.”
He also acknowledged the challenges that come with leadership and representation but emphasized his unwavering commitment to delivering impactful projects and meaningful opportunities for the people of Mbaitoli and Ikeduru—many of which are already visible across the constituency.
This is not the first time the lawmaker has supported the Diocese, having previously made several contributions to its growth and development.
In his response, the Bishop of Ikeduru Diocese, Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Maduwuike, expressed profound gratitude for the lawmaker’s vision, generosity, and enduring partnership with the Church.
“This is not just a donation; it is a seed sown into the future of Ikeduru and beyond,” the Bishop said, offering fervent prayers for God’s continued guidance, protection, and success upon Hon. Amadi.
He also assured the lawmaker of the Diocese’s full support and collaboration, particularly in ensuring that the College of Education project becomes a lasting symbol of faith-driven development and educational empowerment.
